A short drive and a long week end, the perfect combination. Both would be possible if you choose to have your second home at Sandgreen in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. Sandgreen has long been recognised as one of the most idyllic places to enjoy lazy week ends or fun filled family holidays. Nestled on Scotland’s rugged southern coast line within the Fleet Valley National Scenic Area, this stunning place has some of the most spectacular scenery South West Scotland has to offer.

Sandgreen is managed with the environment and the conservation of our natural heritage in mind. Any development has been sympathetic to the surrounding area and this is reflected in the low density lay out of the holiday units and the extensive areas of natural and undisturbed vegetation; we proudly boast being awarded a David Bellamy Gold Award for a fifth consecutive year. The Park gently slopes down to our very own private sandy beach providing fantastic views and sunsets over the Fleet Bay.

The Park is open each year from March through to October allowing you to enjoy weekend breaks and holidays whenever you want. The area provides fun and fascinating attractions for all the family from mountain biking, art galleries, walking, specialist food outlets, adventure days in the forest, (not forgetting the fun you can have in the sea right on your door step!). Imagine rest, relaxation, peace and quiet and fun for all ages in increasingly rare, unspoiled, secluded surroundings.

Nestled behind the sweeping curve of our own private sandy beach, Sandgreen Caravan Park is an idyllic, peaceful and secure location in which to enjoy relaxation and freedom. Our carefully designed holiday park is within 2 hours of much of central Scotland and the north of England. Enjoy a peaceful holiday in a natural environment surrounded by wildlife, right in the heart of one of Scotlands official National Scenic Areas. Located on the stunning Solway coast, just a few miles from the A75 and the picturesque towns of Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas; Sandgreen provides all the pleasure of a coastal escape with the convenience of being just a short drive from the A75.

Directions To The Park

Located 33 miles West of Dumfries - Follow A75 West for 30 miles, exit left at Sandgreen signpost (2 miles from Gatehouse Of Fleet), follow the road for 3 miles and Sandgreen Caravan sits around the bay at the end of this road.
