New Forest Holiday Park with treehouses takes David Bellamy Pledge

A New Forest holiday park with treehouses is now branching out to ensure it stays as appealing to wildlife as it does to human guests. Shorefield Country Park in Milford-on-Sea is taking on the David Bellamy Pledge for Nature challenge which was launched this year across the holiday parks industry.

Known previously as the David Bellamy Conservation Award, which Shorefield has won for over 20 years, the park will now be set even more ambitious goals for its environmental work.

Shorefield Country Park is one of eight parks on the south coast owned by Shorefield Holidays where a raft in initiatives are in place to protect the natural world.

Conservation Award-winning holiday parks

The family-run group’s efforts have seen wildlife flourish throughout their grounds, winning praise from the independent assessors who help judge what is being achieved.

Its focus now will be on creating even more tree, hedge and wildflower habitats which play host to an array of wildlife, including birds, grasshoppers, honey bees and butterflies.

Shorefield’s surroundings provide an idyllic backdrop for the fresh-air holidays it has provided for guests from across the UK and overseas for over 60 years.

Luxury Holiday Treehouses in the New Forest

Especially popular in 2001 has been the New Forest holiday park’s new treehouse accommodation offering a magical experience which has caught the imagination of younger guests especially.

The two timber holiday treehouses – Silvertree and Coppertree with their striking turrets and quirky windows – can each sleep up to six people.

But the promise of top-end luxury is anything but a fairy tale, for they both feature five-star fittings and furnishings with which any princess would be delighted.

Stunning holiday accommodation

They include master bedrooms with stunning freestanding bathtubs and monsoon showers, spacious living areas, and gorgeous views across the surrounding woodland.

Step outside and there’s generous wooden decking for relaxing and al-fresco dining, complete with an outdoor pizza oven, sun loungers, BBQ and super-warm heaters.

Each treehouse even has its own private hot-tub in which guests can relax at the end of the day.
