Devon Glamping Pods for Romantic Escapes

Lynmouth Holiday Retreat unveils its romance-ready Devon Glamping pods for perfect holiday escapes. The Devon holiday park celebrated in this spring’s SW Tourism Excellence Awards, and is now offering guests another way to enjoy its picture-perfect surroundings.

Just in time for summer, the park – located near Exmoor – has unveiled a new range of timber-built glamping pods with breathtaking ocean views.

Cosy Glamping Pods in Devon

The two-person pods, says the park, are purpose-made for romantic escapes with their cosy interiors and stunning outlook over iconic Lynmouth Bay.

On offer to guests, it says, is the sense of freedom and closeness to nature which a camping holiday brings – but without the flap of having to put up a tent. Also not normally found under canvas is a full-size double bed which will be made up on arrival, sofa, fridge, hot drink facilities, and background heating to keep couples snug.

Lynmouth Holiday Retreat was named as one of the South West’s top three parks in this year’s SW Tourism Awards – an accolade of which the family business says it is extremely proud.

Award judges commended the high-quality facilities, the warmth of welcome provided to guests, and the park’s many initiatives to protect wildlife and the natural environment.
As well as luxury holiday caravans to own and to rent, there are also touring facilities – and now the option of glamping pods with some of the finest coastal views in Devon.

Lynmouth Holiday Retreat is one of four award-winning holiday parks in Devon, Somerset and Cornwall owned by the James family’s 35-year-old business, Coast & Country Parks.

“We have long wanted to provide a glamping facility here, but were keen that our pods would be the best available in terms of design and the comfort provided to guests,” said Ian James.

Amazing sea views

“I am confident that we have now achieved this, and have chosen a location for them which takes full advantage of the park’s amazing panorama of sea and countryside.
“Just as important, their timber construction is a perfect complement to the natural surroundings in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – so we’re very pleased!” added Ian.

The pods are all just a short stroll from the park’s modern shower facilities, amenity building with dishwasher and freezer, and convenience shop.
