Kent Holiday Park with pub gets nautical makeover
Staff at The Neptune celebrate being able to welcome back customers after the top-to-toe makeover.
A popular Kent holiday park with pub and carvery in Dymchurch, has re-opened its doors after a two-month closure which saw it undergo an extensive £400,000 re-fit.
The Neptune, which is adjacent to New Beach Holiday Park and also open to the public, has undergone an “amazing” transformation says manager Anthony Comber.
Holidays by the sea now on tap
The top-to-toe makeover is based on a nautical theme with the extensively timbered interior taking on the vibe of an historic and luxuriously appointed galleon sailing ship.
The Neptune now employs a 30-strong staff team to work in its rotisserie kitchen, bar, and the two-tier restaurant which provides more than 160 covers.
There’s also room for 80-plus diners on tables in the newly created outside eating areas.
Holiday menu favourites
On the menu is a wide variety of freshly prepared dishes which includes many traditional favourites such as pan-fried steak, fish and chips, spit-turned chicken, and fully stacked burgers,
More adventurous tastes are catered for with options such as Balti pies, calamari with aioli, and baked camembert – and for weight watchers, each meal comes with its own calorie count.
Al-fresco dining and drinking is available to customers in the new exterior of the seaside pub
Anthony Comber says that all his team members are delighted that The Neptune is now able to welcome back its large and loyal following of customers:
“We’ve long been a popular venue for park guests as well as local families and friends to meet up, maybe just for drink or to enjoy a top quality meal at a very reasonable price.
Popular Kent Holiday Park investment
“That’s why Park Holidays UK had the confidence to make a substantial investment in The Neptune, ensuring that it stays at the top of the game as both a pub and restaurant.
“But what definitely hasn’t changed is the relaxed atmosphere and friendly attention from staff which we’re often told makes visits to The Neptune so memorable,” said Anthony.
Food service starts and noon each day, and continues until 9.00pm in the evening, and the pub – with its traditional pool and darts games – remains open all day.
Park Holidays UK says that New Beach Holiday Park is one of the most popular in the group’s 45-plus park portfolio.
