Marlie Holiday Park Bingo Win
Katie celebrates her £29,000 night out at Park Holidays, with a Marlie Holiday Park bingo win. When Londoner Katie Page and her boyfriend Mark visited Marlie Holiday Park in Kent this autumn, she expected to return home with lots of happy memories.
But what Katie didn’t imagine she would be bringing back was a colossal cash windfall after a Thursday night out playing bingo in the park’s popular clubhouse.
The fantastic five-figure win was made by Katie, a contract cleaner from Deptford, after her numbers all suddenly came up trumps in the park’s Super 7 bingo game.
Katie and payroll worker Mark were staying in a holiday caravan at Marlie Holiday Park which is owned by Park Holidays UK and located in New Romney on the South Kent Coast.
The park is a favourite of Katie’s, and she has enjoyed a number of stays there in the past. She has even managed to come lucky with a few small bingo wins on her visits.
Katie Scoops Amazing Bingo Jackpot
But nothing had prepared Katie during her most recent stay for the shock of learning that her full card had scooped the game’s amazing jackpot of just over £29,000.
Half of the cash – £14,562 – went straight into her bank account, and the remaining half was divided amongst the other players taking part the game at Marlie’s clubhouse.
“I hadn’t immediately realised I’d won when my number was called out, but then the music started playing and everybody in the room began cheering and waving their arms!” said Katie.
“There was an amazing atmosphere in the venue, and many people rushed up to congratulate me as they could see I was totally over the moon.
“This win means I will now be able to visit my brother Charles in Australia for the first time in twenty years. He has a beach house near Brisbane which I’m dying to see.
“The plan is to be there for his sixtieth birthday next summer when I can also take in the annual Beanie festival in Alice Springs. I upcycle beanie hats for charity, and there will be workshops and all sorts which sounds like fun!
“I will also take a Eurostar trip to Paris with some of my friends, traveling first-class of course, and have a limousine tour of the sights,” added Katie who worked as an au pair in the city in her teens.
Marlie Holiday Park Super 7 bingo evenings
But Katie still plans to make return visits to Marlie Holiday Park and to continue exploring what she describes as a fascinating part of Kent with its lovely coast, nature reserves and places to visit.
And the park itself has plenty of attractions including a recently refurbished entertainment venue and restaurant, plus a modern indoor pool which is a favourite of all ages.
Big wins like Katie’s are possible at Park Holidays UK as many of its parks are linked together for the eyes-down Super 7 bingo evenings.
This greatly increases the chances of guests taking home a four or five figure prize when their numbers come good – and the pots are getting bigger all the time, says Park Holidays UK.
