Introduction From The Holiday Park

Hill of Oaks is a family and conservation-orientated park with well-laid-out nature walks where intrepid explorers can seek out the wildlife, and managed woodlands providing a natural environment for a rich biodiversity of animals, birds, flora and fauna.
Handily, the park is ideally located for access to the main areas of the Lake District National Park, famed for its spectacular scenery of rugged fells, reflective lakes, and quaint Lakeland villages. A haven for outdoor enthusiasts, visitors are gifted with endless walking trails, thrilling adventure activities, inspiring visitor attractions, and a plethora of shops and eateries.

Hill of Oaks offers a wide range of accommodation from lake view apartments and woodland cottages to glamping pods and safari tents, many of which are dog-friendly. The park is also home to the Waterbird Boathouse, a beautiful apartment perched on the water’s edge. There is also a dedicated seasonal touring area and holiday home opportunities.

On-site facilities include a site shop and cafe, laundry, children's play area, dog park, woodland walks, picnic area and Wi-Fi. (Please note that due to our rural location Wi-Fi is limited.)
Guests are welcome to bring their own canoe, kayak, inflatable, or paddleboard for £20 per item, per stay. Slipways and piers are available for launching. Rigid/powerboats are not permitted. Please note we do not hire out water sports equipment.
