Introduction From The Holiday Park

Milestone is a five-star award winning park in the heart of Robin Hood Country. Open all year round, we have over 100 touring pitches with a mixture of level grass and hard standing, all having 16-amp electric hook up. A small, beautiful site with generously proportioned pitches being screened with shrubs and borders for added privacy. We have a course fishing lake for the keen angler and picturesque picnic area positioned next to the lake. For the more experienced, there is also specialist fishing lakes in the village and some stunning scenic walks to take in, which make our caravan park ideal for walkers and anglers alike.

Just five miles north of Newark, Milestone Caravan Park is nestled on the outskirts of the small village of Cromwell, easily accessible from the A1, both north and south. Milestone is ideally situated as a base to explore Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. Located within a short drive of historic market town of Newark. With much Civil War history on the doorstep, Newark Castle was of particular strategic importance and is well worth a visit. Lincoln with its famous Cathedral and cobbled streets and picturesque Southwell with its Minster, Workhouse and shops.
Nottingham, also within easy reach from the caravan site has a more famous castle - complete with tales to tell of the legendary Robin Hood. Another must-see is the annual Robin Hood Festival at Edwinstowe in early August.

Park Description

Picturesque 20 acre level touring site with day fishing, modern heated facilities having self-contained washrooms and disabled shower rooms. On site dog walk, local transport within 100m and a short drive to Newark, Sherwood Forest, Lincoln.

Directions To The Park

From the north on the A1, we are about 7 miles south of Markham Moor service area. Around 1 mile past the 'Carlton & Kneesall' turn. Take the exit marked 'Cromwell & Norwell' at the top of the bridge, turn right over the bridge and then right again at the bottom, and then we are 150yds on the left. From the South A1 once you reached Newark we are about 7 miles further on the A1. After 7 miles you will see a 'BP' petrol station just before this sign that says 'Cromwell & Gravel Works' take the slip-road and follow the all the way through the village and the caravan park is on the left just past the brewery.
