Parks group splashes £2m on summer fun
Cult legend Timmy Mallett is announced among the galaxy of TV and stage stars providing free entertainment this summer at Park Holidays UK.
The 25-strong parks group says it is making its biggest ever commitment this year to providing guests with top-notch performers, activities, games, and live shows.
Park Holidays UK estimates that it will cost them more than £2 million in 2016 to lay on morning, noon and night entertainment to guests as part of their holidays.
Paying for the same attractions off the park, it says, would empty the average family’s wallet in no time – but won’t cost them a penny during their stay.
The fun kicks off every single morning with events designed for youngsters such as treasure hunts and detective games – many featuring the parks’ famous cuddly mascots Loopy and Cyril.
Younger and older guests may also be able to catch some of this year’s first-class tours which will appear on various dates at the group’s parks during the summer holidays.
As well as 80’s icon Timmy Mallett – the hilarious star of Wacaday and The Wide Awake Club – parks will also be welcoming Paddington Bear who will host a marvellous marmalade picnic.
The amazing darts gameshow Bullseye will hit the right spot for all ages, and Live Pro Wrestling will be a guaranteed thriller as some of the sport’s craziest characters go head-to-head.
Also booked for park performances are the Candy Crush Show, top comedy names, famous stage musicals, all-action Quasar laser games, and “midnight movies” on a giant outdoor screen.
And guaranteed every night are Park Holidays UK’s glitzy evening cabarets with top-rated professional performers including stars of X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and The Voice.
Pitched perfectly for families too are the group’s acclaimed leisure facilities – also free – which include swimming pools and active play areas – with gorgeous beaches just a short stroll away.
Of course, many guests can’t resist dipping into a bit of their holiday money to play bingo – and although the stakes might be small, the winnings can be very high indeed.
Park Holidays UK was the first park group to link all of its sites for games, meaning more and bigger cash prizes running into thousands of pounds every night.
Beyond doubt, says Park Holidays UK, this will be the most exciting season for entertainment in its 25-plus year history:
“Many of our attractions and activities command high ticket prices when they take place in the public arena outside our parks,” says Tony Clish, director of Park Holidays UK.
“But here they are all completely free, despite the fact that we have invested over two million pounds this year in bringing them to our parks.
“We are determined to remain the brightest stars for entertainment in the parks industry, and to make each season even more amazing than the last,” said Tony.
Stays at Park Holidays UK are also star performers for value, he adds, and the full line-up can be found on the company’s website at www.ParkHolidays.com.
